As an owner of yahoo mail account, actually I call this "Give me more spam account" I was unable to read some old messages that holds some info I needed.
You probably get this message when trying to view email :
"We’re sorry, but there appears to be a problem loading the email"
I found an easy way to switch back to old yahoo mail style, that use a different server requests.
Click on gear icon in right top corner and choose settings. Then go to viewing email tab and under mail version check "Basic" and now you should be able to read your emails.

I think the issue is in the way the data is retrieve back from the server.
In old yahoo mail data comes as full html where in new mail we are getting Json that is incomplete and front end is failing to generate anything from Json file that is missing some parameters like "message".
As you can see at the bottom image new yahoo is using different method to retrieve data from the server.
